Terraced Urban Garden

Our aim was to focus on provision for entertaining guests, sun-lounging, and for growing vegetables and ornamental plants. The garden needed to be low maintenance, meeting the needs of a busy professional couple who regularly work from home. The site was previously difficult to access due to the steep gradient, meaning a large area of the garden went unused. We created a series of decking and paving levels leading up to a new garden office at the rear, with a sun deck en route. A raised lawn was incorporated as a level area for the practice of Yoga and Pilates.  We constructed rendered blockwork and concrete retaining walls around which the other elements were built. The planting was undertaken by our client to save costs, making the most of a tight budget. New slatted fencing was included down the right-hand side.
